Antonis Vaos was born in the island of Milo sin 1958, and grew up in Athens. He studied visual arts in Rome and completed his doctoral thesis at Panteion University, Athens. He is presently Professor at the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education at the University of Patras, Greece, his subject matter being the Didactics of Visual Art.
From 2007 until 2011 he was Cultural Director of the Art Workshops of the Municipality of Rion, and during 2013 – 2020 he was Coordinator of the Arts Work shop of the Patras Municipality.
He has authored four books on the subject of the teaching of arts, and published numerous articles and papers in Greek and International journals, collective works and conference proceedings.
